Global expansion of photovoltaic glass capacity has pushed furnace operators to look for refractories that balance stability, corrosion resistance and operational cost. More PV glass melting lines are adopting sintered AZS refractory bricks in superstructure and regenerator zones during new builds and energy-saving retrofits.
Sintered zircon corundum bricks maintain stable dimension under long periods of cyclic heating. Low creep rate at high temperature helps keep the furnace lining intact, reduce heat leakage and stabilise the internal melting atmosphere. Compared with conventional high-alumina refractories that degrade quickly under heavy alkali vapour attack in PV glass furnaces, sintered AZS offers far longer service life in these vapour-rich zones.
We can supply sintered AZS as standard bricks or prefabricated special blocks. Prefabricated shapes reduce on-site cutting and speed up installation during scheduled shutdowns, lowering total downtime for PV glass plants.
Every furnace operates under unique melting conditions. Working temperature, alkali load and cycle schedule all influence refractory selection.
Share your furnace drawings and operating data, and we will provide professional refractory lining layout advice and material specification support.
