What Are High Alumina Refractory Bricks?
High alumina refractory bricks are made primarily from high-grade bauxite clinker and are formed and fired at high temperatures. With an Al₂O₃ content ranging from approximately 48% to over 75%, they are classified as neutral refractory materials and are suitable for a wide range of high-temperature applications.
These bricks are widely used in industrial kilns and furnaces where resistance to high temperature, mechanical load, and chemical corrosion is required.
Key Performance Advantages
Luming high alumina refractory bricks are produced under strict quality control, offering the following advantages:
High refractoriness – suitable for long-term service in high-temperature environments
Excellent hot strength – maintains structural stability under load at elevated temperatures
Good resistance to corrosion – performs well against acidic and weak alkaline slags
Reliable thermal shock resistance – reduces cracking and spalling during temperature fluctuations
Typical Applications
High alumina refractory bricks are commonly used in:
Cement rotary kilns, preheaters, and decomposers
Steel reheating furnaces and soaking pits
Industrial boilers and power plant furnaces
Glass furnaces and ceramic kilns
Non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces
